MARLINS COAX BOBBY VALENTINE OUT OF RETIREMENT

Looks like Bobby Valentine will be the next head coach of the Florida Marlins. The first thing I think of when I hear Bobby-V's name is an incident he was involved in when he was coaching the Mets. He had gotten kicked out of a game and was sent to the locker room, only to return a few minutes later with a "disguise." He apparently thought no one would recognize him in. Valentine turned the Mets into a circus and this blogger actually couldn't stand him. But times have changed. Once he retired and started being an analyst for ESPN, Valentine began to reveal his true knowledge and understanding of the game. He went from being a clown to being a well-respected analyst. It's a great move for the Marlins, as Valentine has coached in the division before. They also need a big time coach and Valentine will give them exactly that. 6.5 games out of first, the Marlins have to make a big second half push. Now if only the Marlins could get a new stadium, and some fans...
