Well, Well, Well, Paul Pierce Jumps Ship

What d'you know? Paul Pierce is opting out of the final year of his contract with the Boston Celtics, leaving $21.5 million on the table. He's probably doing this to get a long term deal with the Celtics or whoever else will throw him some money. The sad part of it is that Pierce isn't even near the creme of the creme of the crop of the free agent class. With Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Nowitzki, and even Stoudamire, Pierce is gonna have to wait a little before the offer start coming in. I'm not even mentioning the Joe Johnsons of the class. Plus at age 33, Pierce is no spring chicken. I love how this "lifetime" Celtic is jumping ship. After his team look old as shit in the playoffs, I can see Pierce jumping on the King's bandwagon to get a couple of rings before his career ends. I'm gonna love the destruction of the Celtics. As much as I respect Rajon Rondo's game, I would love to see what this kid is gonna do without Pierce, Ray Allen, and the soon to be keeling over Garnett.

BOSTON CHOKES AGAIN

It doesn't get better than this. OK, maybe the Boston Celtics losing to the Los Angeles Lakers was better but this is pretty close. The Boston Red Sox head into the bottom of the ninth inning against the Colorado Rockies with a 1 run lead. Enter their arrogant, dramatic closer Jonathan Papelbon to seal the deal, known for rubbing it in to opposing batters. Game over, right? WRONG! The Colorado Rockies tagged Pap (as they like to call him) for 3 earned runs, 3 hits, and 2 home runs in just a third of an inning. Oh yeah, the loss and his second blown save of the season too. I'm not just hating on the guy, but this kid has been one of the cockiest S.O.B.s out there. Karma is a bitch and I'm glad the Rockies busted him up. Don't worry Paps, a 3.64 era for a closer ain't that bad...

LOS ANGELES LAKERS' PARADE TIME

That's my dawg D-Fish. Never thought I woudl say that but without Fish, Lakers wouldn't be here today. They'd be doing what the Celtics are, disappearing.
Couldn't be happier than I am for this guy, Ron Artest. Sure he looked lost most of the time, but then again, who wouldn't in the triangle. Big shots, from a big time player.

Finally, the real MVP. Sorry Kobe, but this guy is the best big man in the league right now. Without Pau, Lakers don't stand a chance. You better take this guy out to dinner. How about a chance 3-peat, 3-peat, 3-peat!!!
